• Swedish investigators concluded that detonations caused the recent damages to Russia’s Nord Stream gas pipelines. The preliminary investigation has “strengthened the suspicions of serious sabotage,” the Swedish Security Service said in a statement on Thursday. Two leaks in the pipelines under the Baltic Sea were found in Sweden’s exclusive economic area, and two others in Denmark’s zone last week.

• European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen vowed to “stress check” the key EU infrastructure, including energy, after the suspected sabotage of Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea. • Denmark will boost its planned offshore wind capacity in the Baltic Sea to 3 gigawatts and hook it up to the German grid via a 470-kilometer undersea cable as the region weans itself off its reliance on Russian gas. • Ingka Group , the owner of most IKEA stores worldwide is buying a 49% stake in three wind development projects from renewables development company OX2 for €58 million. Ingka Investments said the two projects in the Baltic Sea and one off the southwest coast can reach up to a total installed capacity of 9,000 megawatts. Ingka Group already produces more renewable energy than it uses and invested around €3 billion in wind and solar projects since 2009.
